IN TEXAS BYX,
We strive to get the next generation of christian men ready to enter into the real world and make disciples of all nations, just as we are called to do in the Bible.
So How do we do this…
Worship
Byx at KA
We had a night of worship at the KA fraternity house featuring Jaxon Shipley, who shared how Christ has transformed his life during his NFL career. Nights like these reflect our commitment to growing in faith and encouraging others in theirs.
BYX at SAE
We were honored to host BYX founding father, David Daniels, at the SAE house where he shared a powerful message on finding our worth in Christ rather than the things of this world. His words deeply encouraged and challenged everyone there, making it a night we won’t forget.
Younglife AT bYX
We had the privilege of hosting a worship night in our backyard for YoungLife the evening before new leaders were placed in their new areas. It was a powerful night of prayer, praise, and preparation for a new season of ministry.
Social
Crawfish Boil
Every February we have our annual crawfish boil in our backyard. This year we had over 700 people in our backyard including 50 highschool guys rushing BYX. With live music, great food, and even better community, it was a night that brought people together in a big way.
West Fest
Every March, we take part in West Fest, an event where each fraternity hosts live music in their backyard. This year, we hosted Mike Posner in our backyard. Not only did he perform, but he also shared how Jesus radically transformed his life. It was an unforgettable night that blended music, testimony, and the vibrant community that defines BYX.
Island Party
A tradition started by the founders of BYX, Island Party is our first big event of the year. It’s an incredible opportunity for new guys to experience how fun college can be when you're surrounded by Christ-centered community—and to see the impact we get to make together here at UT.
Outreach
Younglife
A lot of the guys in BYX are actively involved in Young Life at high schools all around the Austin area. We have had YoungLife guys over to the house for things like basketball tournaments, worship nights, small groups… you name it. Our vision is to make the BYX house a place where every Young Life team in Austin feels welcome bringing their high schoolers. A space where these kids can see that college doesn’t have to revolve around partying or drinking to be fun — that Christian community can be real, exciting, joyful, and life-giving.
